Project Summary: Deployment of InclusionIndex across the NHS Shetland workforce.

Business Issue: NHS Shetland wanted to understand more about the feelings and experiences of diverse groups of employees, identify any vulnerable or excluded groups, as well pinpoint areas of good practice.

PTI Action: PTI deployed InclusionIndex™ across all 500 staff in NHS Shetland via paper and electronic survey. The data was analysed to ascertain the extent to which different groups in the NHS Shetland workforce felt included or excluded by examining practices and behaviours in 10 core areas including leadership, promotion, bullying and harassment and communication.

Business Result: The InclusionIndex tool has allowed NHS Shetland to monitor inclusion for the first time across multiple demographic and geographic groups. As a result of the success of the initial project, PTI has just been asked to redeploy the tool in NHS Shetland to measure progress since the initial deployment.
